Juvederm in Houston, Texas

Younger-looking Skin in Less than 30 Minutes

Juvederm for men and women | facial rejuvenation | Aesthetic Specialists of Houston

As you get older, your collagen production diminishes, causing your skin to lose suppleness and wrinkles to appear. When skin wrinkles, it no longer has the tissue support to push the skin back into place. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring chemical in your body used in Juvederm that offers this needed support and hydration for the skin. Aesthetic Specialists of Houston provides a robust assortment of Juvederm injectables. Schedule a one-on-one consultation to discover more about how Juvederm in Bellaire, Memorial, West University, and the surrounding areas of Houston can help you.

FDA-approved injectable treatment

What is Juvederm?

The Juvederm series of FDA-approved injectable fillers is one of the most well-known facial rejuvenation treatments.

Each of their products contains hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring substance in the skin with a unique ability to attract and retain moisture—it can hold up to 1,000 times its weight in water, making skin appear more plump, supple, and youthful.

Supple, Vibrant, Firm Skin Awaits

Which Juvederm is right for me?

Each Juvederm filler in the series serves a distinct purpose and has unique qualities and lifespan. During your consultation, one of our cosmetic specialists will evaluate your skin issues to identify the best Juvederm filler for you.

Juvederm

All Juvederm fillers are composed of cross-linked hyaluronic acid molecules that have been combined to produce an injectable gel. Juvederm Volbella, Juvederm Voluma, and Juvederm Vollure are created with an unique Vycross technology that cross-links hyaluronic acid molecules of different weights. These tiny changes add to the distinct composition and capabilities of each Juvederm filler.

Juvederm Volbella

Volbella may be an excellent treatment for people with thin lips, poor definition, or vertical lines above the lip, known as smoker's lines. Many women dislike these lines because their lipstick spreads into them. Volbella is the ideal lip filler for those who don't necessarily want more voluminous, fuller lips but rather a more defined lip border and a natural-looking treatment for lip wrinkles. In addition, Volbella is the thinnest and easiest to spread of the three fillers.

Juvederm Voluma

Youthfulness is frequently associated with full cheeks. Voluma can provide volume to the mid-face in patients with hollow skin or sagging cheeks. Voluma can also be used to fill in concave temples. The good news is the results of your Voluma treatment are noticeable for up to two years. Voluma is the thickest and most structured of the three fillers.

Juvederm Vollure

Vollure filler is typically described as velvety smooth, like honey, and is used in areas where a soft appearance is preferred, such as the forehead, lips, and smile lines. The thickness and spreadability of Vollure are both medium, spreading easier after injection, giving your treated areas a very natural appearance.

Juvederm Ultra XC

Some Juvederm fillers contain hyaluronic acid particles with the same molecular weight. Juvederm XC, Juvederm Ultra XC, and Juvederm Ultra Plus XC are among them. These fillers are widely used to plump the lips and earlobes and diminish the appearance of moderate to severe parenthesis lines that run from the nose to the corners of the mouth. At our office in Houston Juvederm treatments can also be used to repair marionette lines and other wrinkles around the mouth and nose.

Your Juvederm Procedure

Pre-treatment advice from your provider will include avoiding some medications that cause bleeding, such as aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, NSAIDs, green tea, some herbal supplements, and consuming alcohol for one to two weeks before your treatment. With Juvederm Houston patients are also recommended to avoid smoking for a few days following their treatment because it impedes blood flow and healing. The HA solution is then injected into your treated areas using a microneedle by your provider. Your treatment will take between 15 and 60 minutes, depending on the number of treatable areas.

Stunning Results | Minimal Downtime

Juvederm Recovery & Results

Your provider will give you post-treatment recommendations to help you heal faster, but there will be little to no downtime.

As a result, it's critical to minimize sun exposure, and it's also a good idea to skip makeup that day and wait at least 24 hours before working out or drinking alcohol. The majority of people see noticeable results immediately; however, once any swelling has subsided, your full results are apparent. Your results should last anywhere from six months to two years, depending on the type of Juvederm filler you use and how your body processes hyaluronic acid.

Juvederm Frequently Asked Questions

Juvederm Injectable Gel is injected into the treatment area with a very thin needle, resulting in minimal discomfort during your treatment. Your Houston Juvederm provider may use topical anesthetics, cold, or local anesthetic to ensure your comfort. We inject small amounts at a time to ensure a smooth and uniform distribution that looks natural.

The FDA has authorized Juvederm as a safe and effective anti-aging treatment. It's made with a patented smooth gel consistency technique and a high cross-linking percentage. Our injectors follow protocols to minimize rare risks, such as vascular occlusion.

Your provider may go through all of the differences between injectables and neuromodulators during your appointment. Botox and Juvederm, for example, can be used to treat multiple areas of the face. Botox, on the other hand, relaxes facial muscles, particularly those in the forehead and eye area, where wrinkles form as a result of repeated muscular movements. Juvederm, on the other hand, is used to treat age-related volume loss in the cheeks and lips.
